Moving On From Religion, Towards Higher Truth

THE EPISCOPALIAN CHURCH keeps track of everything, carefully. Church membership, church attendance, weddings, funerals, baptisms, all of it. The results are shocking. For many years now, the church has been stagnating or declining in all areas, but the downturn in the lats year is around two percent in everything, membership and attendance in particular, and therefore, alarming from a religious point of view. Church membership in America has declined over the past twenty years from about eighty five percent, to around seventy percent, and is still declining. Not long ago, though a non Christian, I attended church in a small southern American town where I live, and was chocked by not only the low attendance, about two dozen, but by the fact that i was by far the youngest person there, and I'm sixty one. They all wanted me to come back, and its obvious, to anyone, that this sweet-tempered church of elderly members is not long for this world. All protestant denominations in America are experiencing similar declines, just like Europe, and we can anticipate the same story playing out in Latin America and Africa with the catholic church, eventually. The reason is that, the more scientific knowledge the human race acquires, the less popular ancient, superstitious, fictitious religions become, across the entire globe. The human race, at long last, is growing up. religion provides emotional comfort, and people together, and all that, but, there's got to be a better way, a better way to achieve all that religions does, without the falsehood, nonsense, superstition, and so forth. The true religion is the study of nature, science, and the wonders it gives us, like, computers and the internet. Case closed. The charming components of the world's ancient, tradition, huge but shrinking major religions let us relegate to the status of quaint history, literature, and folk lore,, and let us move on from there. At this point in history, the year 2016, nobody should question evolution, or believe the Bible, and, it turns out, fewer and fewer people do, thank the lord. Even at Harvard theological seminary, school of divinity, where folks go to pursue the ministry, they plainly teach you what a fictitious work the Bible actually is, and nobody worries about it, because among educated Harvard type people, the real, fictitious Bible is still beautiful as ever, and need not be the inviolate work so some manically homicidal mass murdering God to be important in human culture. Wouldn't it be nice if we could bundle all of the wisdom of Jesus, all of the wisdom of everybody, teach it, live it, and not turn it into some stupid, primitive, barbaric, dogmatic religion which divides people and causes wars.......THANKS FOR VISITING. COME BACK PLEASE!
