Turning Michelle Obama Into a Woman, the Red Neck Way

THE THIRTY YEAR REUNION engendered such enthusiastic class consciousness among member of the class of '73 that an internet discussion group was born therefrom. It went well at first, although it consisted of myself, a left wing radical, and several conservatives of the Jesus, guns, and money sort. A few pleasant years ensued, then came the inevitable nonsense. Obama was elected, and out of the woodwork slithered the good ole white boys, including my right winging high school buds. Truthers, ala Trump-etts, harbingers of national doom. Obamacare soiled the free market with the dreadful specter of socialism. Buy yoyr own privately owned highway, I told my discussion groupies. And, while we're at it, let's privatize police and fire protection, and open them up to free market competition. Don't cal the cops across town. Call us. We have a two for one intruder apprehension special, a real bargain, but it only lasts until next week. Government create a single job, they echoed the standard conservative line. All military personnel work pro bone, I retorted, since the government cannot create a single job. Although my conservative high school classmates are ignorant, they are not stupid. But they are stupid enough to refuse to accept the truth, when the truth could set them free, or at least allow them to understand that socialism is everywhere in America, because nothing but socialism works for providing us with roads, police and fire protection, and military protection. If they acknowledge this, they only do so when I leave the room, which I do without resistance. My friends turned Michelle Obama into a closet transgender, with two adopted children. No, I'm not making this up. I couldn't. Hell hath no fury like a southern conservative cracker confronted with the dreadful specter of of a black president intent on bring the even more dreadful specter of cooperative socialism and the false faith of radical Islamicism, aka radical Islamic terrorism, to a previously clean, pristine capitalistic United State of Aggression. Or is that the United States of Amnesia? I dropped out of the internet discussion group, after several years of infinitely patient forbearance. Perhaps you can guess why.
