The Real Problem

IT MIGHT BE  good idea to offer a comment or two concerning the notre dame football player, and his alleged online girlfriend, by way of helpful clarification. There seems to be a great deal of consufsion about the issue, and an emerging consensus among the american media and the american public that this girlfirend "never existed".

That, in a nutshell, is completelly untrue. Oh, she existed alright. Still does, so it seems, and therein lies the controversy.(ghosts and extraterrrestrials exist too, though you'll never convince some people of that.).

Those emails and phone calls came from somewhere. The football player, mr Teo, (is that his name?) did not fabricate the whole thing. She was not merely a figment of his overactive imagination.

She was a human vbeing who exahanged emails, and, quite likely, the same human to whom mr teo spoke on the phone with some degree of frequency. undoubtedly he could tell whetehr ths same person who wrote the emails spoke on the phone. that part would be easy.

What this person, presumably female, actually did, was play around online, having a good time, living in s fantasy world, until she, for whatever reason, came to the conclusion that it all needed to en, hence, the fack death.

Hell, maybe she found a guys near where she lives, or simply got nervous about the ongoing online rlationship, you know, cold feet, that sort of thing. Can happen to anybody. Happened to me (see previous post).

But, i mean, what's a little fake death or two between friends? Hell, I've had it happen to me! (see previouis article). And, for all we know, they really loved each other, albeit only online, only in an "abstract" sense.

But abstract or no, love is love, and a relationship is a relationship. please don't be confused by the fact that she faked her own death. Happens everry day - (Trust me, I should know.). And, like i said before, (in previous post), if they say she was his girlfriend(s), then, by god, she was his girlfriend. Far as I'm concerned, even if only one of them says it, its half true.

So don't go around accusing the football star of having a girlfriend who didn't exist. She existed, all right, and maybe that in itself was the problem.
