Blessed are the Children

MASSIVE PROTESTS have broken out in red square, moscow, where all russian protests break out. The portestors are angry because the russian government, aka vladimir putin, signed a law prohibiting further adoption of russian children by american parents.

Putin signed this law in revenge when the U.S. Congress passed a law forbidding russians with known human rights violatons from entering the united states. Well, whatever. kids will be kids.

the mere fact that enough russians are protesting this policy to call it a protest is very telling. the protestors claim that there are not enough homes in russia for russian children, so they must be adopted out to foreign countries, and the united states is a good place for that.

Whenever there's a protest like this, anywhere, about anything, there are many more people at home who feel the same way.  Obviously many russians disagree with slapping the united states in the face in this manner; the people who are being hurt the most are the poor russian kids who will now not get a chance for a new happy life in america.

and permit me to assure the good people and parents of russia that the american families with whom russian children are placed are the very best quality; great people, with good steady, happy lives, a good standard of living, very capable, financially and emotionally, to care for a new child, and extremely desirous of doing so.

so, my russian friends who visit this website, thanks for visiting, as always, and permit me to encourage you to join the protestors. Its the right thing to do for your children.
