BELIEVE IT OR NOT, there is an american corporation which manufactures toys, which is now marketing, distributing, and selling a new game called "Doggie Do". this game is being advertised on television, on the nickelodeon network, which is aimed at children.
the dog is made out of plastic, and so is the dog food, and the dog crap. you put food in the dog's mouth, and soon thereafter crap comes out of the dog's butt. believe it or not, the plastic dog takes a dump. at least, it did on the television commercial.
the rules and object of the game is still unknown. does each player try to feed the dog the most, and get the most shit out of the dog? is that the aim? its a competitive game, so something like that must be going on.
precisely what does this say about american culture? that it has sunk to its lowest point yet?
that it is amazingly creative, particularly economically? that corporations will stop at nothing to make a quick profit? that children are an important part of the consumer base for corporate marketing?
all of the above, doubtless.
suffice for the moment to say that in the united states of america, a game is being sold in stores, a game which comes in a box, a game in which a dog made out of plastic takes a crap right before your very eyes.
