THIS BIG CONTROVERSY with chick fillet company of the clever funky spelling is par for the course in primitive, barbaric america. the owners of said fast food restaurant chain are devout, anti homesexual christians, so it seems, who simply do not wish to serve their delicious chicken sandwiches to anyone who is not a heterosexual christian.
the term "primitive, barbaric america" is not intended to be generally descriptive of america, but as a comparison with more tolerant compassionate cultures, such as those in europe, which do not mistreat homosexuals. america will be even greater than it already is when it finally accepts diversity.
no wonder the europeans, and for that matter eveyone else, laugh at us. makes you want to pretend to have nothing to do with either american culture or american corporate capitalistic christian culture, or whatever it is.
whatever it is, it sure is weird. if i'm a stock holder of a corporation, i sure as hell don't want said corporation alienating anyone, because i want everone to be a customer, to increase corporate profits, and the value of my shares. what else makes any sense? selling products only to capitalistic conservative christian heterosexuals? hell, do that, and you'll lose half your customer base.
if am an owner, or an employee, or family member of an owner who does such things, I'm gonna be mighty pissed. i will be able to see my income flattening out, or dwindling, as per company profits.
evidently the brilliant decisions makers at chic fil e believe that their fascist like bigorty will inspire conservative heterosexual christians to support the business ever more enthiastically in response, which may be true - to a point. but hell, even good conservative heterosexual christians can only eat so much chicken.
oh, how i love the chic fil e grilled chicken sandwich, jumb....oh, how i would love to have one right now. but damnit, i can't, ever again. gonna hafta go elsewhere. sure gonna be a lotta hungry chic fil e deprived folks runnin' around...
