Knowing Too Little, Doing Too Little, Too Late

WE HAVE KNOWN about climate change, science has known, for decades, indeed, centuries. Finally, its obviously here, and we can and are experencing it directly. Still, however, about half of the American people, certainly more than a third of them, refuse to believe it, becaue it conflicts with their political and religious beliefs. They should instead change their beliefs, but of course refuse to, being conservative by naure. This has been and continues to be a disaster for the U.S., and for the world. This refusal to accept reality has caused the United States to fall way behind where it should be in combating climate change, especially during the Trump admimstration. Now, global warming is obvious, and becoming more so every day. This current super hot summer will probably be the coolest summer for the rest of our lives,and the lives ofour children and grandchildren. In the summers to come, coming in less than five years, there will be entire summers where the temperature is over one hundred every day. Most of the United States will be subjected to this. Then too, the floods, extreme raing events, severe storms, anaa regular droughts, everywhere, will become painfully obvious, impossible to ignore the cause. Conservatisem, regarding climate change, has been and remains a disaster, and must be defeated and abandoned. Trumpiwm an conservatism want to "bring back coal", and continue using fossil fuels with complete abandon. Thiw would be suicide for humanity. Instead, we must now embark on a no holds barred, desperate, emergency project to reverseclimate change, before its too late, which it may already be. It should be well organized and world wide,although the United states by tself might well be capble ofinvenitng, designing, building, and implementing the infrastructure necessary to accomplishing the task, of eliminatng hman made cliate change, stabilizing a healthy global ecosystem, and saving humanity and all other lifeforms. IN the United States, a massive grass roots crusade to force the politicians to gt it going can begin with a single person, or small group of people. IN today's world, word spreads fast, masspopular casues can grow and spread in a hurry, thank God. Greta Thunberg, are you ready? Even if you're in jail, you can do it.
