Still Lying

DONALD TRUMP, as everyone knows, is claiming that all the indictments against him are a witch hunt, a political conspiracy against him by his political enemies, presumably led by Joe Biden. Now that the insurrrection indictment has come down, there is still one more to come; from Georgia, where we've all heard Trump trying to steal votes. This victimization of Trump lie is evidenly being accepted and enbraced by Trump's followers in general, which is shocking, but shouldn't be. This Trump as victim nonsense is about as crazy as Trump's election lie, and the popularity of it. There is one, er, problem. Namely, everything that Trump did, every crime he committed is on camera, video or audio recorded, much of it on television, muc of it national TV. I, and millions of other Americans, watched in orror on live national television Trump's incitemente to insurrrection speech, then, the sacking of the Capitol. It was all shocking, and still is, but undeniable, then and now This true for all the charges against Trump in all these indictments, which adds up to mmore than fifty. The evidence is rock solid, proven, tangible. The evidence is proof. The science fiction scenario in which Trump is sent to prison where he is elected president, and begins his administration from his jail cell, now begins to look more potentially real. Such is the cult-like devotion of his hard core of supporters that, in sheer defiance of law and order and decency,in complete disregard for reason, the more crimes Trump is accused of, the greater their loyalty to him. All these inditments, however, in a general election are not going to help Trump. The criminality will do damage, as it is layed out in court, for all to see. Most Americans are independent, and a convicted felon running for president is not going to play well among most of them. That Trump's followers don't seem to mind says more about them than Trump.
