Losing Your Exploitation
AFTER TWO DAYS of government shutdown number eighteen, or whatever, the results are still mixed, but it looks like both sides are dug intractibly in, and will not budge. Therefore, it is incumbant upon the American people to settle this dispute, with an avalanche of tweets, posts, emails, letters to the editor, poll responses, the whole kit and kaboodle. We the people must make our wishes known, decisively, because, in case you haven't noticed, the highly touted American government is frozen solid, utterly motionless, unable to do anything, at the moment. A few of the more prescient americans are starting to wonder what people all over the world must think of us by now, because of this. The world's most powerful nation, the leader of the democratic, "free" world, with her global empire - unable to proceed with her own governance, owing to massive, unmovable gridlock. What a show. What a disgusting display of human arrogance, intransigence, narrow mindedness. If a preponderance of american public opinion starts to come down against, say, the republicans in the house of representatives, then you can bet your bottom dollar, they will capitulate, drop their demands, and go home quietly. Same for the democrats, obviously. The crucial concern is that the public, all of us, must express our opinion, about Obamacare, about everything. We must. Now is the time. The mere fact that we are all still here after two days of government "shut down" would seem to indicate that there is a fair amount of government which we could do nicely without. The simple fact remains; although the U.S.A. is supposed to be a representative repulic, and not a direct democracy, now is the time for we the people to rise up, en masse, and turn it into the latter, for perhaps te first time in American history. We must rise up, as it were, and govern ourselves, because those we have chosen, representatively, to govern us are no longer capable of doing so. If that isn't ovbious by now, nothing is. We the people must now have a direct national referendum, electronically, on Obamacare, and, for that matter, we the people must have a national, electronci referendum on any number of salient issues and questions. To hell with representative republican democracy in the era of the internet and universal education! The people are ready, after centuries of struggle and strife, to govern themselves. But we the people will never be allowed to do so by the entrenched elite powers that be, so, we must atake oour rightful place, as governors of ourselves, by insistence. Electronic insistence. Workers of the world, unite at your computers! You have only your exploitation to lose!
