A Young Girl Defeating Barbaric Tyranny

THE TALIBAN ranks among the stupidest organizations in world history, right up there with the NAZI party in Germany, the fascist party in Italy, and the tea party in the United States. Two of these examples committed suicide decades ago by carrying suicidal policies, and the other two might be destined for the same fate. When the taliban came to power in Afghanistan following the defeat of the Russian invasion of Afghanistan twenty five years ago, the first thing it did was to destroy ancient buddhist art, including huge, beautiful sculptures. Destruction of great art; how stupid. Just like the NAZIs. Then, the American military invaded their country, and they ran like a buncha of scared chickens, putting up lame resistance, surrending control in cowardice, accepting a life of terrorism and exile, and banishment. A bunch of buddhist vietnamese defeated the United States, but the taliban could not. The taliban is the only government of Afghanistan which ever laid down like dogs in defeat at the approach of an invading army. But this demonstration of divine disfavor did not deter their insane religious fanaticism. So, they turned to torturing children. Malala Yousafzai, a teenaged girl who wanted to be educated, and spoke out about it, became the victim of taliban fanatacism and stupidity. They put a bullet in her for daring to defy their sacred religious belief that girls should get no education. AS if this is what God, any god, wants. But remember, the taliban can't fight, and it seems they can't shot straight. Malala survived, and was given extended, intense treatment in England, and recoverd quite nicely. Now she is a spokesperson for civilization and civility, which only further highlights the taliban's barbarity. In the voting for teh Nobel peace prize, Malala came in second, right behind the organization which won the prize, the group that is destroying Syrian chemical weapons. Not bad, for a young girl from nowhere who just showed up on the world stage recently. The taliban's reaction? Complete joy. they say they are absolutely thrilled that she did not win, as if their opinion, about anything, matters. Chances are she'll win the prize next year, but no matter, she has more important things to do than winning some popularity contest. She has a magnificent education to pursue, and a life to live as a shining example of resistance to and defeat of barbarity and tyranny. How will the American tea party commit suicide? According to opinion polls, they're well on their way even now.
