Recently near cleveland five young men were caught plotting to blow up a bridge. Pictures posted online showed them to be young white males with very angry looks on their faces, who called themselves "anarchists". Perhaps they are actually nothing other than extremely conservative and anti-government.
One wonders why they had planned to destroy a bridge. Any sensational symbolic act of dextruction against government owned property will suffice? wouldn't the thought cross your mind that the only consequence will be the building of a new bridge, that escaping capture means escaping responsibility, and that escaping responsibility means non acknowledgment, leaving the crime a mystery, thus providing no advertising at all for the cause of anarchism?
It may be that people who favor anarchy are simply too disorganized to consider such things.
then you wonder why anyone, even the most fervant libertarian, would favor outright anarchy. it would seem to be a dead end political movement. libertarians generally understand that at least some fundamental law and order is necessary. anarshism will never be a popular movement, because the more popular it becomes, the more the need for government is clearly revealed.
people who think like this must be entirely alienated from the culture around them, and have given up. they might do better to accept that we all are greatly disenchanted with the world we have made, and join us here in more mainstream regions for our communal hand wringing.
