Shoot 'em Up (already dangerous enough)

ALL ACROSS THIS great nation (U.S.A.) gun sales are up, way up. Gun dealers are having trouble keeping stuff in stock, especially assault weapons and assault weapon ammo. The american people, afraid that the obama government is going to take away their guns, are stocking up.

Before long it won't matter what gun controls are in place, and really, it doesn't matter now, and hasn't mattered for a very long time. The cow has long been out of the barn. There are millions, if not billions of guns in american homes, and the people living inside with them aint gonna give 'em up.

I myself, for several years now, have had a growing, burning desire to get a good high powered BB rifle, and a .22 single shot breach loading rifle. (I like the heavy artillary, I'm quite macho). I had both when I was a kid, it was a complete blast, and I want to relive my childhood. Any problems with that?

I see myself getting my BB gun and twenty two sooner, rather than later. So, watch out. The human species was clever enough to invent guns, so it must be clever enough to own and operate them. Well, it is. Give credit where credit is due; we humans know how to kill.

Just for the record, I don't think human beings are qualified to own guns, me, or anyone else. Just my opinion. I think we'd be better off with bows and arrows, like bo and luke duke. (Dukes of Hazzard, american TV show).

I have always wondered why nobody, such as the american army in the revolutiony or civil wars, used bow and arrow instead of muzzle loaders. more rpm, enough range and accuracy, seemingly. I think benjamin franklin actually suggested the idea, but got nowhere with it.

I do not think america would be a safer place if everyone were armed. I think it would be an ongoing shoot out. Of course, for that matter, it already is, kinda. The random mass murderer lifts his automatic and stats dropping folks like flies.

Suddenly, most everybody in the crowded theatre whips out a concealed semi automatic handgun, and starts blasting away at whoever seems to be the perp, amid the chaos. Scenes of a dirt street, wooden buildings, and six shooters come to mind, like a low grade american western movie.

If a killer is on the loose in my 'hood, I'm happy to let the police give chase. I don't want my good neighbors out there running around, guns in hand vigilante style, acting like good citizens, or trying to be rambo. Its already dangerous enough out there.
