American football, Canadian football, Australian football, rugby, and soccer kinda seem to belong in the same category, sport wise. Team sports, wherein the object is to move the ball down the field to a goal.
To this list add "ultimate Frisbee", which, for my money, might be the best sport of 'em all. The first time I ever heard of or saw ultimate frisbee was in the mid nineteen eighties in Denver, Colorado, in that huge park in the middle of the city.
I noticed that the two teams were numerous, something like eleven per side, that they did a lot of running, and that the frisbee was whirling through the air lickity split.
I had first encountered and thrown a frisbee in the mid nineteen sixties, maybe about the time the"flying disc" was first introduced. I immediately liked the toy, and have ever since. Hard to believe that I don't have one now, else I might still get out there and fling it.
All three varieties of american football are simply too violent. Rugby and soccer are great sports, but rugby is a bit rough, and soccer can be played by people whether thay have arms or not. MY hangup with soccer has always been the lack of arm involvement.
But Ultimate has it all; the running, the throwing and catching, but without the broken bones and bloody noses. And, like soccer, its world wide. The Truthless Reconciler is proud to consider Ultimate Frisbee the sport to endorse.Click on the links to the right, and see for yourself!

I like this sport too. It does have it all. Plus each match is played without ref's.,the players decide the infraction. The Sportsmenship Award is prized & bounties aren't placed on opposing players.
