Getting Our Survival Started
AS THE WEATHER GETS crazier and crazier, like it already has and will continue to do, American conservatives will reluctantly become the last group on Earth to finally accept the reality of man made climate change. They'll come kicking and screaming, since acceptance of man made global warming will require them to abandon some of their cherished notions, including their belief that there is no need to worry about climate change. Every scientist in the world who has studied the climate for the past thirty years says the weather has become utterly unrecognizable, out of control, no longer understandable or predictable. They say they no longer recognize weather patterns, that we are living in an entirely different climate even now. Record setting storms every few days, as extreme weather increases, and a new world record for global temperature every month. Scientists are shocked by how rapidly its happening, how far ahead of their predictions the changes are, even as the changes we are already seeing perfectly match predictions. This sudden awareness of imminent catastrophe has emerged only in the last few months, as the science improves and changes every day. We are facing our doom, whether we accept it or not. It is obvious that the human race must unite, organize, and mobilize, and begin the struggle for survival immediately. It is a struggle we may lose, it may already be too late. But we must try. I no longer think I will die before the climate becomes totally out of control and hard to live in. The wealthy powerful people in the world, like American conservatives, absolutely must swallow their pride and take the lead in fighting for our survival. The fossil fuel companies could lead the way. Someone should get in touch with Exxon Mobile, and encourage them to start the ball rolling, by developing a plan and implementing it. The plan could include reinvestment in sustainable energy, wind and solar, and gradually weening the world off fossil fuels. A company like Exxon Mobile could plant a trillion trees within five years, and help put solar energy panels on every house in the world. An organized effort consisting of every fuel, energy, chemical, and agricultural company in the world, every government in the world, and thousands of universities and private groups could coordinate the comprehensive plan. But somebody has to get it started----------------------------IT IS URGENT THAT WE COMMUNICATE, PLAN, AND ACT. PLEASE SHARE THIS ARTICLE WITH OTHERS.THANKS!
