Where Have All the Russians Gone?

WHERE HAVE ALL THE RUSSIANS GONE? There have been no Russian visitors to this website for at least a week now, and that is a cause of great concern. We bloggers in particular, and Americans in general, do not like it when our Russian friends abandon us. Fortunately, they rarely if ever do - until now. Our fellow Russian champions of the common people have left us! What is going on here? IN all fairness, its happened before. For the Russians, its easy come, easy go. They visit in great numbers, then, gradually fade away until they disappear altogether, then, they start coming back. But its always a source of special concern, when they vanish so suddenly and completely. Are they all right? Has Vladimir Putin and his Russian government decided to crack down on smart assed American bloggers, and prohibit their penetration into his cyber space? Or is there, heaven forbid, a singular Soviet style vendetta against this blog alone? Are the Russian people no longer allowed to read The Truthless Reconciler? Can he/they do that? Is it possible for a national government to block websites from entering its country's cyberspace? If so, then the internet is no longer free; it is controlled by the same dark, sinister forces which control all governments, the same elite, wealthy, powerful few which control everything thing in the world, except the internet. Until now. Or, have the Russian people, en mass, simply lost interest? That hardly seems possible. After all, they were always such faithful visitors. Why would the Russian government block anything, especially a website as enlightened and entertaining and interesting and harmless as this one? How can you explain global trends? During the past week, the people from the great nation of Malaysia having been visiting us in droves, for whatever reason, and for that we here at TTR are grateful beyond expression. But..where have all the Russians gone? If everyone in Russia has suddenly, simultaneously lost interest in this blog, fine. So be it. If, on the other hand, this blog is being blocked from Russia, by whomever or whatever, not so fine. Please remember, internet readers around the world. This is an issue which affects us all, every human on this planet, not just me and my fickle Russian friends. Who will control the internet, and access to it? You and I, the people of planet earth, or our tyranical governments? Long live the free internet!
