Letting Human Sanity Begin
IF HOMO SAPIENS CAN endure for another few decades or so, it has a chance to survive long term, and perhaps ultimately take its place among the truly advanced life forms of the universe; as a star faring, inter planetary civilization, living and working in harmony with other intelligent species. Soon homo sapiens will be able to see all the other planets and life nearby, and will be able to travel to meet them; if we don't kill ourselves first, over the next few years. By keeping the birth rate reasonably low, and by letting people die with dignity with productive life spans, the population issues can be resolved. We can all have longer life spans, but how long do we really want to live? Surely not beyond the span of productivity. A world with billions of inactive centurians would not be a good idea. A sustainable population level would permit the problem of environmental destruction through global warming to be dealt with. A few de-salination plants, a fair amount of pipeline in certain places to move cleaned up ocean water inland, and ocean water could be used to turn the world's deserts into verdant, productive land, while reducing sea level rise. A few billion new tress would help a great deal, maybe a trillion tree world wide project. Solar energy pours down upon us in limitless, unused abundance, daily. Let's use it! And let's get rid of all atommic bombs, not just the ones in Iran. Micro technology can create robots that can enter the human body and repair it from within, one cell at a time. The human body of the future will never be beyond repair, and can be constantly being repaired. Now that we finally realize that we really do not want to eliminate all bacteria and viruses from our environment and be completely sanitized, we can live more sustainably with nature, by bringing to a halt human encroachment upon wilderness areas. Let all the animals share the earth. WE humans really don't need all that room to ourselves. Once we realize that we really do not want a planet covered with mansions and huge private gated lawns, we can begin to live more sustainably, and more sanely, more cooperativley, the sooner the better. The sooner and the saner the human behavior, and the better off we all shall be. Let human sanity begin!
