America. the King of the Drones
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is king of drones! Its nice to be number one in something, other than income gap, drug abuse, and number of wars waged per decade. Drones, those marvelous self piloting computerized flying bomb missiles, are the newest fad among American military types, and they also seem to be President Obama's favorite toy. Obama launches more drones before nine A.M. then any other country launches ally day, or all year. Obomber might have some sort of psychological need to prove his manliness, you suspect that he does, but his drones have probably killed more civilians in Pakistan and Afghanistan than the the Central Intelligence Agency, and that's impressive. However, the CIA might wish to take credit for drone killings. Somethihng like ninety percent of all drone aircraft in the world belong to the U.S.A., and one hundred percent are manufactured in America. They are sold to other countries the same way F4 fighter planes are; just enough sales to just enough dirt poor dicatatorships to make the wrold a less safe place, adn ensure a tidy profit for the manufacturers.. The drone business is a classic example of President Eisenhower's military industrial complex, the one he said was taking food out of the mouths of hungry American babies as early as the nineteen fifties. (by now, the babies are long gone). Large weapons manufacturing corporations contribute election money to politicians like Barack Obama, then when all the political offices in the country have been bought and paid for by military industrial money, the drones start rolling off the assembly lines, and folks like broad shouldered Obama scoop them up, and launch at the drop of a hat, always in the direction of bad people, of course. Where they go when launched, no one knows, but usually a drone stike is accompanied by a victorious proclamation of the death of a well targeted leading terrorist, while any civilian casualties are incidental, collateral, and difficult to substantiate.
