Trump, Lying, Still

Donald Trump is picking up right were he left off from his first term; lying like a dog, as we say. It must be stopped. If not that, then called out and identified,and condemned, strongly. Durng his first administration it was tabulated that he told approximately thirty two thousand blatant lies. At his current rate six weeks into his second term, he might be on track to equal or even exceed that impressive total. Claiming that the war in Europe was started by Ukraine is, arguably, the most egregious, heinous, reprehensible lie that Trump has told not only in his fledgling second term, but..ever. When Trump, on national television from the Oval Office, where he was meeting with "hosting" President Zelenskyy, claimed that the United States has given Ukraine three hundred an fifty billion dollars, you knew that Trump's mental illness, pathological dishonesty, is quite intact. He talked over Zelenskyy when Zelenskyy corrected him. Trump is switching sides, from Ukraine to Russia. Is he expecting the American people to switch with him? Conservatives will, progressives will not. You might recall that Trump claimed he could end the war in a single day. When will he decide to do this? Trump expects a peace treaty in which Russia retains ownership and control of the land and people they currently occupy, about twenty percent of Ukraine. Good luck with that, as we say. Trump's lies about the economy are no less reprehensible. Isn't it, or shouldn't it be a criminal offense for the president of the United States to tell so many egregious lies to the American people? Trump claims, falsely, without evidence, that inflation was horrible under the Biden administration, but that it has come down drastically since he, Trump took office, because of Trump and only Trump. If you listen to Trump, you believe that the United States of America was in a horrible condition economically and generally the day he took office, but is now doing splendidly. What nonsense. In actuallity, inflation is slightly up since Trump took office, adn ther are signs that the economy is starting to slow down. This tariff business is not going to help, economists agree. It will inevitably fuel inflation, and appears to have already begun to do so.If the general population, or a majority of it, starts to believe the blatant, self serving lies being told by an authoritarian leader, like Hitler, Stalin, or Trump, if the general population embraces the fantasy versions of reality promoted by their supreme leader, the country will destroy itself. Every lie told by Trump, and from now on it appears that there is going to be a steady avalanche of them, must be clearly identified and reported to the voters. If we're not careful, the MAGA Republicans are going to elect Trump dictator for life, then isolate America from the world, promote a dog eat dog capitalistic economy, elevate the Christian religion to official status, and allow racism to exist, flourish, thrive, and run rampant, as it did in America before the government started forcing DEI down our throats. The MAGA - Trump war of hatred agaisnt DEI says much about Trump and his followers. The American people embrace diversity, equality, and inclusion, even if the malignant MAGA Trump movement does not. More than ever, the MAGA Trump movement must be opposed and stopped. Trump must be removed, or effectively prevented from implementing his agenda. Trump's Every word and deed since becoming president has been harmful to the United States, and the American people. This amazing consistency must be ended.
