Damage Costs

I had the great misfortune to be in my hometown Joplin, MO, the day the great tornado destroyed the central third of the city. I was in shock, and part of me still is. Total cost? 2.8 billion..and the beat goes on...

Unless I'm dreaming, there are a lot of tornados, hurricanes, droughts, and floods in the lower 48 these days. They cost big bucks, bigger every year as human habitat expands, and it looks like there's more to come.

One possible solution is to elect Ron Paul President, liquidate the American Empire, and use the "peace dividend" to pay for future natural disaster damage.

But must we do something quite so drastic? Couldn't we just liquidate the empire without going to the trouble of electing Ron Paul President?
