Trump, Committing Crimes, One At A Time

THE MORE THAN one hundred and fifty federal lawsuits which have thus far been filed against the Trump administration, specifically the actions of the president, are a good indicator of the level of crime being committd by said president, beyond argument, It is har to imagine the temerity or stupidit of any president thinking that he can make a fundamental change to teh American constitution mrely by signing an executive order, but, that's where we are, or seem to be. Amending or changing the constitution requires a complicated process, clearly spelled out in the actual document, in which Congress, the states, and ultimately the Americn people must wight in in sufficient numbers in agreement with the amendment to make it happen. Trump seems to have a new team of lwyers nealry every day. Didn'tany of them tell him this? Or ws Trump given the insidious, nefarious legal advice to go ahead and eliminate birthright American citizenship, as provided by teh fourteenth amendment, from the constitution mrely by saying so in an executive order, and then let the process runi its course, thiking perhas that if and when it gets to the SCOTUS, that the pro-Trump consevative majority will rubber stampthis etreme executive power grab? Surely not. Surely no conceivable supreme court, no maer how conservative or razy, would ever do such a thing, would it?Of the dozens of executive orders Trump has issued, an overwhelming majorit of them are clearly illegal, and jsut waiting for the federal judiciary to confirm it. Everyoe agrees that agencies and cabinet departments, such as the Department of Education, can be created and abolished only by Congress, not the president. Trump, probably thinking himeslf quite clever,is merely firing enough workers to render teh Educatioin Department entirely impotent and ineffecive, but claiming that the essential services is provides, such as supporting public schools in povety stricken areas, and supporting impoverished students and those with disabilities, will remain intact. However, the amount of damage Trump has already done to it is most likely illegal, and unconstitutional, and will eventually be described as such by the nation's courts. Of all Trump'smany criems since returning to office, y far the most heinous and egregious crime, against American and against humanity, is technically not even a crime. It is,in a nutshell, climate change denial. Trump has scrubbed all mention of climate change from all government websites, documents, and processes, and whether this will be effecively challenged and overturned in court remains uncertain. As of now, it seems unlikely. For the head of state of an economically advanced country, for a country like the United States to cease all attempts to solve and correct the climate crisis, is, in a word, insane, suicidal. Trump and people like him, inclluding his followers, by denying climate change, by refusing to help deal with it, are pushing the human species, and all other forms fo life in Earth, towards extinction. The can be no greater crime than complete human genocide resulting in the extinction of the species. We have good reason to be hoeful that the federal court system will eventually eliminate most of Trump's illegal acts and crimes. But who will and force people like Trump, who deny and thus encourage catastrophic climate change, to awaken to reality, and to start being part of the solution, rather than part of the problem?
