Don the Con, Conning America
WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS, as Trump likes to say, and, indeed, we will. Presidencies tend to be measured and evaluated at the one hundred day point, the one year, and so forth. One day is as good as any, and, as it stands now, by any objective standards, the Trump presidency has been a complete disaster. The disaster seems to be getting worse, daily. Everyone has noticed that the stock market is crashing, and that inflation is starting to increase, after going steadily down during the final two years of the Biden administration. Trump's tariffs, and the trade wars they have already started, will cause a great deal of inflation. The chaotic way Trump is imposing them is and will continue to contribute to the stock market crash. The great aconomy of the Biden years is rapidly being smashed and turned into a disastrous economy under, Trump, with the real possibility of a recession looming. The massive firings of government workers is also a disaster, as hundreds of thousnds of family members struggle to survive, and the governmetn shrinks and withers, no longer able to function properly or smoothly. And nwo,don the Con is once again, as usual, as always, trying to con us. Trump says that some economcic "disturbances", including even perhaps a recession, are likely under his policies, but that, given enough time, his enlightened economic policies will lead American into a glorious golden era, or something like that. Amazing, how Trump supporters have suddenly become tolerant of failed policies. Somebody, somehwhere, has surely been able to mention to Trump the adverse consequences of his policies, or surely he has even begun to dimly perceive them for himself. Trump knows he is in trouble, but is in too deep, cannot back out, cannot admit that his government chainsaw and tariffs policies are disstrous, and reverse them. Hemight be forced to simply drop both of these insanerpojects, and declae victory. Strangely, laughably, but not surprisingly, none of this seems to boether Trump supporters in teh slightest. Disturbances? Sure, if the leader says so. Anything the leader says. Daily it is becmong ever more frighteningly obvious that Trump's MAGA mass mob would and will sit happily by, and applaude their glorious ldeaer as he takes the United States into a devastating, ruinous place. When teh stock market hits rock bottom, inflation is out of conrol, and a deep recession settle in under Trump, his he and they will doubtless talk about how bravel dn wisely Trump is leading the nation through the perilous times, how much worse it would be if the Democras or anybody else were in power, and blame it all on Biden, or somebody. The inflationary, recessionary, chaotic consequencs of the crazy chainsaw and tariff Trump program have not yet begun to truly ripple through American society and the American economy, but soon will. The Trump right wing cultural agendais evil and malignant and hateful, in which the LGBTQ and tansgender community is under attack, and "woke-ism", which is nothing other than social awareness, is treated like a disease, like DEI, rather than the basic, good concepts that they obviously are. The vital benefits provided by the Department of Education and the EPA will have to be rebuilt when this insanity is finally over, Trump is out of office, and his former followers have gone slinking off, back into the slime pit of horrible ideasand ideological lunacy whenc they presumably came.
