Sanders and Trump, Running Together: Stranger Things have Happened

BERNIE SANDERS STILL LAGS well behind Hillary, but, with Hillary apparently on the verge of a total tank, Bernie becomes far more relevant. Right wingers, with characteristic class, are ridiculing Bernie because of his age and his elderly eccentric Socratic appearance. Let 'em. Bernie's likely to laugh all the way to Pennsylvania Avenue. Word is that the democrats will never in a million years permit Sanders to get the nomination. The same thing is being said about Donald Trump, over on the ultra conservative side of America's party of property, the only one around. However, the party bosses and the party establishment might not have much choice in the matter. These two guys, Trump and Sanders, are popular for a reason. Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, total outsiders who just happen to be in first place. America seems unhappy with the status quo. The longer Trump hangs around in first place, the more likely it is that he will either be the republican nominee, or that he will run on his own. If Bernie Sanders visits every college campus in America, and a few factories, and labor union meetings, he could win the White House. The millenials, an ostensibly liberal lot who gave us gay marriage, could give us Bernie Sanders, and maybe Donald Trump to boot. Suppose Hillary tanks entirely, or struggles across the democratic finish line. In either event, Bernie Sanders could conceivably, like Donald Trump, start to think of himself as somebody who might do a lot better unconstrained by party affiliation. Sanders and Trump, with their own "People's Social party", running together as a ticket for the presidency! Bernie and Donald, leading America into a glorious new era of peace, happiness, and prosperity. Stranger things have happened...maybe.
